This project is for a private client and includes alterations and extensions to an existing house together with providing 4 new houses. The site is located on the edge of village and the solution is to provide contemporary designed units that include high level of sustainable and environmental design. The scheme includes units that meet Code for Sustainable Homes Level 5.
Core Architects have worked closely with our client to gain detailed planning permission for this new built detached dwelling for the family and their disabled son. The brief called for the scheme to function as a singular family home whilst allowing for privacy and individual spaces for all family members. The house has both traditional and contemporary design elements and materials, and includes sustainable heating systems and rainwater harvesting.
The project is on site and is due for completion in late 2011.
Core Architects has produced a design which has gained detailed planning consent for a modern extension to West Hill House, Lincoln. The site overlooks the city and the extension provides additional living space to take advantage of these views. The existing building is adjacent to a listed building and the extension is designed to be minimalist in its execution, and allow views of the existing building through the new structure.
This project is the conversion of a disused 18th Century listed coach house to form a new residential dwelling. The location and context of the site required minimal impact and careful design to the existing building to carry out the conversion.
Planning Approval and Listed Building Consent has been submitted and is due for approval on this project.
Planning consent was gained for a developer client for this small but bespoke scheme in the centre of Sutterton village. The site included other possible community uses. The dwellings were individually designed to take advantage of the benefits of each individual plot. The site constraints include a redundant water tower at the road entrance
